Passage by Tom Simanek
This is a special collaboration with my friend Tom Simanek, aka TPS607, here on Youtube who does the vocals, guitar, and songwriting. It's a great song like so many others over on his site. Check 'em out! PASSAGE: I sailed against a headwind of memory and fear: Wind that kept me from my course so many hopeless years. And when I looked at the compass to guide me to that place, it's glass held my reflection, but it was a stranger's face... and the water hurries by, like the time you spent with me; and the spirit in me died, so I buried it at sea. Still the water hurries by in a never-ending blur, and the passage of my life finds a focus within her. I sailed to the horizon where hope lifts from despair; a line of new direction, suspended in the air. I found uncharted wisdom, with point of view to see, my past was just an anchor so I cut it to get free. and the water hurries by like the carefree days of youth, and reflections sometimes lie, but inside we know the truth. Still the water hurries by in a never-ending blur, and the passage of my life finds a focus within her. I sailed off on a tailwind of truth and clear insight, a downhill-run of knowing that this course had saved my life. I look at every voyage as if it were my first. I safely made the passage back from death into rebirth. and the water hurries by like so many other things, and I watch each bright sunrise with the hope a new day brings. While the water hurries by in a never-ending blur, and the passage of my life finds a focus within her. And the passage of my life finds a focus within her... Tags: passage tom simanek bigben |

ANGEL OF THE DEEP
Ever since Judy Collins sang her song "Farewell to Tarwathie",and David Crosby told of his whale encounter on a trans- Pacific sail,I have pictured the images to this song. Now that I can do it on the computer...I did. Thanks to all the many photographers whose images I have borrowed for this piece. Thanks to Mike Tribble (call me)for making this possible.A special thanks to Terry Litzman of Lake Fork Sound Studios in Emory,Texas. And for the many of you asking me for lyrics to my songs,I will begin with this video to include them in the notes. Angel of the Deep Wordless song of kingdoms deep, and dreams borne of a waking sleep. Your spirit burns in crystal lamps and touches breasts and slender throats all the while your knowing eye pleads with the men in open boats. Fairest angel of the deep, your songs borne of a waking sleep plead with the men in open boats. Graceful ballet of the deep, and dreams borne of a waking sleep. Your spirit burns in our best friends to give them strength and shiny coats, all the while your knowing eye pleads with the men in open boats. Fairest angel of the deep, your ballet of a waking sleep pleads with the men in open boats. Nightengale of skies so deep, and dreams borne of a waking sleep. Your spirit soars on freedom's wings with never a discordant note, all the while your knowing eye pleads with the men in open boats. Fairest angel of the deep, your flight borne of a waking sleep pleads with the men in open boats. Pleads with the men in open boats. Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)
Celebrating the Day of the Dead, our loved ones...friends and family who have passed from this life.Figurines from the vast collection of Valentina Burton were used for this video, and another hundred+ had to be left out for lack of space on the video.Music is "Firedance" from Riverdance. This is a more true "Halloween" than most celebrated now. In response to many requests,I have begun to add some images of glass from my studio production. In the ending credit are two of my bedroom windows. Life Of A Salesman - Part Seventeen.
This week saw me visiting clients in the beautiful Suffolk village of Lavenham and the equally-beautiful seaside resort of Aldeburgh. Title Music: "Babylon" by Tom P. Simanek (tps607) Addition Music: "No Good Layabout" by Kevin MacLeod www.incompetech.com Here are the notes I promised you! "Wattle and daub" are building materials used in constructing houses. A woven latticework of wooden stakes called wattles is daubed with a mixture of clay and sand and sometimes animal dung and straw to create a structure. The daub was sometimes mixed (a laborious process by hand) by placing it in farm gateways for the animals to trample through. Hence the dung would have been introduced more as a side-effect than intentionally, although it does no harm to the mix. It is normally whitewashed to increase its resistance to rain. Examples of buildings which use wattle and daub can still be found in many parts of the world. In half-timbered buildings, the wattle and daub is contained between wooden beams. This usually gives the building a black and white appearance when the daub is whitewashed, or black and brown, if it is not. "The Scallop" by Maggi Hambling is a sculpture dedicated to composer Benjamin Britten on the beach at Aldeburgh. The edge of the shell is pierced with the words "I hear those voices that will not be drowned" from Peter Grimes.
ADIEU! Text: Bélanger Musik: Franz Schubert Vocal: Joel de V. Piano: Klaus Simanek Recorded: Vienna, ca. 1996 Tags: Franz Schubert |

Rob Elliott:The wind whispers her name
I know i said i wasnt going to put out another original song, but i felt i owed it to Tom Simanek (tps607) as he kindly wrote the lyrics for it and went to the trouble of making the video too. lyrics: She looks out past the curtain to the rainy streets below, and she cant say for certain, why did she let him go. in a dream or so it seems, the traffic comes and goes. She'll never feel the same now the wind whispers her name. Her hearts an open window and it flutters in the breeze, and she cant stay and wont go when loves down on its knees. in a dream or so it seems the traffic comes and goes. She'll never feel the same now the wind whispers her name. Tags: riverman1971 tps607 the wind whispers her name |

READ MY MIND
My song of "you should know,I shouldn't have to tell you".Thanks to Mike Tribble, (call me),and to Terry Litzman of Lake Fork Sound Studios in Emory,Texas.Terry IS the lead guitar! READ MY MIND Never a chance to tell you how I feel, never the time to properly conceal. Misunderstood,half-explained emotions, can't reveal the secrets deep as oceans. Can you read my mind? Can you read my mind? Can you read between the lines? Can you read my mind, can you be that blind? Read my mind! Never a look that caught my eye like yours, never one girl could open all the doors. Dreams of splendor and wondrous fantasy, and so much more...cut from reality. Can you read my mind? Can you read my mind? Can you read between the lines? Can you read my mind, can you be that blind? Read my mind!
